Dr. Purnendu Bhushan has actively participated in various industrial training programs, technical workshops, and practical learning activities during his academic and professional journey in Mechanical Engineering. These industrial experiences have helped him develop strong technical knowledge, practical engineering skills, and a better understanding of industrial operations and manufacturing systems.
He successfully completed a four-week campus workshop training program during his engineering studies, where he gained hands-on experience in basic mechanical operations, machine handling, workshop practices, and engineering fundamentals. This training strengthened his practical understanding of mechanical systems and industrial tools.
To gain real industrial exposure, Dr. Bhushan completed a six-week industrial training program at Satia Industries Ltd., a well-known Indian manufacturing company involved in paper production, agro-based industries, and industrial operations. During this training, he learned about industrial production processes, plant operations, machine maintenance, safety procedures, and quality management systems used in large-scale manufacturing industries. The training provided valuable insight into modern industrial working environments and production management techniques.
He also completed a six-month industrial training program at Dina Iron & Steel Ltd., where he gained practical exposure to iron and steel manufacturing processes, fabrication work, mechanical maintenance, and industrial engineering applications. This long-duration industrial training helped him understand real-time industrial challenges, production planning, machinery operations, and technical problem-solving methods in the steel sector.
In addition, Dr. Bhushan participated in a seven-day training program organized by the Khadi & Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. This program focused on rural industrial development, entrepreneurship, small-scale industries, and skill-based employment generation. Through this training, he gained knowledge about industrial development initiatives, self-employment opportunities, and the importance of technical education in economic and social growth.
These industrial training experiences have played an important role in shaping Dr. Purnendu Bhushan’s practical engineering approach and teaching methodology. His exposure to real industrial environments allows him to guide students with practical examples, industry-oriented learning, and technical skill development, helping them become more prepared for professional engineering careers.
